As we work the Overeaters Anonymous Twelve Step program of recovery from compulsive eating, we have a number of Tools to assist us. We use these Tools—a plan of eating, sponsorship, meetings, telephone, writing, literature, action plan, anonymity, and service—on a regular basis, to help us achieve and maintain abstinence and recovery from our disease.

The Tools of Recovery are an integral part of our success stories.

***Service is a tool that helps us maintain and strengthen our abstinence in Overeaters Anonymous. We have several service positions offered in CMI.

Providing service in any form not only help the Meeting and Intergroup as a whole, they are often cited as a key part of the individuals success.  Click Here to sign up for service at one of our virtual meetings.

Picture
Image Description: An inverted triangle describing the OA Overall Service Structure.  At the top in the largest part of the inverted triangle, in lavender, are pictures of people joining meetings in different ways, such as a laptop, mobile telephone, around tables, etc.  The next level of the inverted triangle is in light green, split equally in quarters, with the labels, starting from the left, labeled as "IGs", then NSBs, then IGs and NSBs, and finishing with LSBs and SFSBs.  In the middle level of the inverted triangle, is a map of the world in colors, and a circular icon to the lower right including the Virtual Region, on a ivory background.  Below this, in light blue, is an oval in a darker light blue, with "World Service Business Conference" in white letters.  At the bottom in the smallest part of the inverted triangle is images of round tables.  The purple table includes 11 chairs for the 11 Region Trustees.  The green table includes 6 chairs for the 6 General Service Trustees (also called the Executive Committee).  This triangle is a peach color, with the letters BOT in black.  Beside and to the bottom left of the inverted triangle is a silver and navy office building with windows and a door, with a group of people standing outside the building to the right.  Under this image is the words "WSO Staff" in black.  There is also descriptive text to the right of the inverted triangle image giving further details on the service structure.
